		<description>I agree that the idea of all of that information being available to me at any time is very appealing.  One of the big reasons we go to a conference is for the networking opportunities.

Without those opportunities, it is a lot like the information that comes out of SXSW after the conference is over.

And like you I am the boss, and he says no to a conference budget.</description>

		<description>Online conferences could be a great idea, although I suspect that one of the most important things that you get from physical conferences is probably personal networking.  If someone can come up with a way to buy a round of drinks at an online conference they&#039;ll really have something.

On the other hand I just can&#039;t justify the cost of one of the big conferences, and since I&#039;m self employed I can&#039;t sell it to the boss either.  

I&#039;d like to hear more.</description>
