I came across an older article about the death of SEO called 10 Steps to Success on the ‘Net Without SEO. I agree with most of the article.
In the end he is right about the fact that the old theories and corporate thought of what SEO is about are dead. That is why we have Findability. Everything that the author suggests you can do without doing any SEO is just what we now call findability.
If you just do the things that he talks about and the things that I talk about in this blog or on any site, it will not only bring more traffic to your site, but also give the people that come to your site a better user experience. Is that not what we want in the big picture?
Tadeusz Szewczyk has some realy good points like:
So please take some time and read what he has to say. Then come on back and let me know if you agree or not, and if you do any of the things that he talks about

I certainly disagree with his conclusion that SEO is dead. Until users stop typing domain names into Google’s search box to get to a web site, SEO will be necessary.
A good portion of his ideas don’t also scale particularly well to the corporate level. Great for weblogs and other smaller sites, but how on earth can someone from AutoTrader.com, for example, ‘contribute to your favorite online publications’ and have that help them move the 1,400 ‘02 Honda Civics on their site? And really? ‘Create a killer CSS design?’
I think this is good advice for someone who want to generate traffic to a weblog and get some Google AdWords revenue, but it would not work particularly well in the business world.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read and comment.
I agree that SEO is not dead but I say it has moved into Findability.
I do think that the points he makes are more geared for a small site or a blog but in general good content and well written code works for all sites.
